Some spread the word widely, and with particular participants. Some come as team of participants. If you would like to become a partner, please reach out to us via [email protected]. Thank you to each.
CORE HOSTING TEAM

Who is this woman with hand full of markers in one hand and a light bulb in the other? I am an entrepreneur and business owner that works with businesses, governments, universities and NGOs across the globe to inspire growth. I believe that experiences that are designed, hosted and supported by skilled practitioners and others who can listen beyond what is actually being said in a room, builds sustainable, creative and deeply satisfying organizations with people who are unafraid, courageous and love what they are doing.
I believe that Art of Hosting is one of many approaches that allows resilency and creativity to emerge in the same breadth. This experinece will give people the skills, tools and insight to deeply connect process, flow, design and form that builds on collective intelligence, envisions the possible, and solidifies action. My role during this intensive will be to graphically capture, harvest and synthesize the work we do together. Known to come as graphic recording or graphic facilitation, my approach, which I call strategic illustration, takes imagery, metaphor, and visual "note-taking" to the next level by making each map an experience for its creators (YOU!) to hold, use and build from. I am delighted to bring my own art form to this wonderful, auspicious and exciting work.

I am ordained in the United Church of Christ and currently serve as the Associate Conference Minister of the Rocky Mountain Conference. My primary work is to help communities discern who they are and what they are called to do and be and help provide the necessary training for clergy and lay leaders to innovate, experiment, and reimagine new ways of being church together. As we witness the continued disintegration of our institutions, and as we feel the pull towards isolation and fear of other, I am deeply committed to helping churches, organizations, and communities become spaces that are life-giving and life-affirming and that seek to embody the best of what we can be as human beings.
I first encountered the Art of Hosting while serving as pastor of Holladay UCC church in Salt Lake City and I knew the moment we began speaking around the circle that I had discovered something of profound and significant value not only for me but for the communities I am called to lead. Here were very simple principles that provided a way to walk into the uncertainty and complexity of this particular time and allow the future to organically and creatively emerge. And as a “recovering serious person” I deeply appreciated the playful, holy mischief embodied in the Art of Hosting. I am excited and grateful to be part of growing the Art of Hosting community in Colorado.

I delight in helping others become resilient, creative, compassionate, powerful, resourceful, healthy and embodied leaders. A founder of NEI, we are here to support the transformation of individuals through creativity in service to a beautiful new world. My background as a global consultant for large scale cultural projects, meditation teacher, serial founder, facilitator, leadership coach, shamanic artist, certified energy medicine practitioner/teacher, and professional educator has provided me with deep insight into the needs and nature of leaders, and the capacity to help them evolve.
Leadership comes from within. My focus is on helping others through their necessary growth so they may bring their full humanity to the table and effectively navigate the increasingly complex business ecosystem. Art of Hosting is a culture of systems and practitioners lighting a new way forward for human endeavor and I’m honored to be sharing it.

I am a facilitator, workshop leader, teacher, blogger, and coach committed to improving the quality of collaboration and imagination needed in groups, teams, and organizations — to help us be in times such as these with consciousness, kindness, and learning. My work over 20+ years has been to design and lead meetings in participative formats. From strategic visioning with boards to large conference design to communities just learning to listen again to one another. Lately I have been working with community organizers, faith communities, and educators.
I post a daily blog, Human to Human, in which I offer reflection on varied aspects of participative leadership practices, insights, and human to human depth. Living systems, self-organization, and emergence inspire all of my work. So does emptiness, breath, or a fresh-picked garden tomato. My work lineages include The Berkana Institute with Margaret Wheatley, The Circle Way with Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea, and The Art of Hosting with Toke Moeller. I live in a small town where urban meets rural in Lindon, Utah, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. I’m originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A new love for me is kayaking. I’m glad to again be supporting and growing The Art of Hosting community in Colorado.
