About Great Facilitation: An Art of Hosting Intensive
What is The Art of Hosting?
AoH is a worldwide practice, born out of the field of large group facilitation, where self-organization and “a leader in every seat” are core principles. It's a highly effective way to harness collective wisdom and build the capacity of people - catalyzed by self-learning, inspiration and practice. Blending a suite of powerful conversational practices and facilitation techniques over three days - October 23-25, AoH invites you to step in and take charge of the challenges facing you in an inherently more democratic way than most conversations. This year's workshop is centered around "great facilitation" for the 21st century. For more information on the Art of Hosting Intensive: Great Facilitation, check out our resources.

- How we can we deepen our understanding and practice of listening and collaboration?

What Others Are Saying
Thank you for the wonderful training! I really enjoyed meeting the participants as well as this stellar facilitation team. It was a real treat to see your team working together so closely and joyfully. I’ve just gotten home from organizing a week-long residential program for social entrepreneurs. I and our team couldn’t be more thrilled with how it went. I’m crediting a bunch of that to the AOH training: the tools you provided, and perhaps even more so, the opportunity for some inward reflection. I gave myself permission this time around to just be myself, and I think that made all the difference.
--Past Participant, Maryland
The experience you and your team provided was profound in ways that still continue to emerge. I am eager to apply AoH principles.

The Art of Hosting has been a gift to my work as a leader of progressive faith communities. The tools have equipped me with ways to access the deeper knowledge of the groups I serve and empower the participants to become co-creators of innovative solutions to really difficult problems. I knew Art of Hosting would offer a lot of gifts, but perhaps the greatest was the chance to learn from people whose sense of possibility has not been limited by the confines of what has always existed in my own context.
